Forklift operation– (QLD May 2010). The purpose of the safety alert is to remind employers and forklift operators of the need to operate forklifts in a safe manner. A recent fatality in Queensland has highlighted the need for employers and operators to ensure forklifts operations and processes meet best practice

Procedure Framework and Development

Whilst Policies provide the picture of your company operations, it can be said that the procedure provides the body or context of what it is you do every day by setting out in a process driven, consistant and standardised format.

The procedure template will cover the following 10 key aspects:

  • Identifies the segment or department to which the document is referring
  • Identifies the document number, version, date of approval and the approving officers
  • Sets out the Aim / Purpose and Scope of the Procedure
  • Defines any industry specific or unusual words, terms or phases used in the document
  • Provides a simple flowchart of the procedure body (at least the MINC Risk Services templates do!)
  • References any associated documents, records, legislation etc
  • Includes a Hazard and Risk chart for the key activities of the procedure (at least the MINC Risk Services templates do!)
  • Identifies the Responsibilities of those involved in the procedure
  • Steps through the Procedure Requirements
  • And finally, a section for Appendix items to the procedure

MINC Risk Services will review any existing procedures and assist the client to update those existing documents into the current modern format. Once the documents have been completed and are ready for release, we are able to help the client complete the implementation roll out process. This involves training staff in the understanding and use of the documents relevant to their area of work.

The list and combination are extensive. With each combined service receive a minimum 10% discount off the total services fee.

MINC Risk Services look forward to helping answer your questions and developing your business to the new highs in the area of Health & Safety.
