Forklift operation– (QLD May 2010). The purpose of the safety alert is to remind employers and forklift operators of the need to operate forklifts in a safe manner. A recent fatality in Queensland has highlighted the need for employers and operators to ensure forklifts operations and processes meet best practice
 
Go-kart– (NSW April 2010). A fatal accident at a New South Wales go-kart track has prompted a safety alert, recommending people do not go for a ride if their hair or clothing is not properly secured. The 26-year-old Sydney woman died earlier this month when her Islamic head dress got entangled in the rear axle of the go-kart at a Port Stephens track.
 
Foil ceiling insulation– (NT March 2010). Electrical workers & contractors, tradespersons and householders must be aware of the electrical safety risks associated with ceiling spaces where foil insulation has been laid.

Insurance Claims Management & Expert Witness Reports

Claims Management starts with the processes and procedures the business has in place. The more controlled the process the better / easier the management of insurance claims will be.

When it comes to Health and Safety, MINC Risk Services are able to assist you in reviewing those documents needs and ascertaining the suitability of existing systems and / or recommending additional procedures to better protect your business when claims are required.

Our H.A.S.I.D. Risk Management Program has been developed with a view to ensuring all aspects of legislative compliance requirements are catered for. This is a 5 step plan which will take you from the initial Hazard Identification, through Risk Prioritisation, specifying and implementing Control Measures to the final ongoing Monitoring of the system and its effectiveness.

Once the correct system (inclusive of policies, procedures, instructions and records) is in place and the associated training material roll out to all staff you are on your way to better managing your business and in this instance the Insurance Claims process.

However the unexpected can always happen regardless of how well prepared you may seem. In the event of an accident or near miss incident, MINC Risk Services are there to guide you through the investigation process and can testify as an Expert Witness after compiling a our site report. The list and combination of our services are extensive. With each combined service (for instance if MINC Risk Services were asked to manage the Insurance Claims process, conduct any Incident Investigation and then serve as Expert Witness), the client shall receive a minimum 10% discount off the total services fee.
